An Appeal

Our School, T A Pai Modern Higher Primary School was founded by Late K Jagannath Nayak 85 years ago. His absolute motto was to provide education to the poor children of the society. Even after his period, the old students association of the school has put all its efforts to continue providing education to the poor, backward and downtrodden children of the society. During 1985, due to various reasons, the management of the school was handed over to Dr. T M A Pai Foundation Manipal and the school has progressed very well for the last 28 years.

Even after handing over, the old students association was very active and continue to take part in all developmental activities of the school, such as providing midday meals (now it is being continued by Sri Krishna Mutt Management),providing transport, books,uniforms and Umbrellas every year. Apart from this, the expenses of the school day and other unforeseen expenditure were borne by the association. At present 195 students are studying in the school.

Due to unavoidable circumstances, the Old Students Association had to take over the management of the school from Dr T M A Pai Foundation W.E.F. 01.06.2013 and we have founded the above trust for efficient management of the school. This action is as per the guidance of the education department & our auditor. In order to run the school, we need to collect Rs. 1.70 to Rs. 1.80 crores to be kept as Corpus Fund.To create this Corpus Fund, we have no other alternative except approaching the old students and well wishers of the school. WE STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT PROVIDING EDUCATION TO THE POOR CHILDREN IS A SACRED WORK. Therefore, we earnestly appeal all the old students and well-wishers to join hands with us and contribute generously to create the Corpus Fund.

The donations, by way of Cheque/Draft can be drawn in the name of MODERN SCHOOL EDUCATIONAL & DEVELOPMENT TRUST (R)or can be credited to our S.B a/c No. 02222010008334 with Canara Bank, Brahmagiri Branch Udupi, (IFSC Code: CNRB0010222). Your donations will be promptly acknowledged by way of proper receipts and eligible for Income Tax exemption under Section No. 80-G.
